Baby Fishing Cats

At the Columbus Zoo, there are three fishing cat cubs–“fishing kittens.”

Two boys and a girl. They enjoyed jumping in the water, as well as chasing and toting around a sweet potato.

Unfortunately, rambunctious three-month-olds tend to wear mom out.

What will become these baby fishing cats when they’re adults ? Will they be reintroduced in their natural habitat or will they have to live in captivity their whole of lives ?
